The original is 6". I have some 5 1/2 that work fine.
Good to know its real name. "Hooked skew" is what I've always called it. I have the Ashley Iles and OCC Tools versions.

No I haven't. This is a spindle duplicator made for a small-swing lathe. There is one on E-bay, with manual. Perhaps the seller would sell you a copy of the manual...?
