the Steelers already have 6 don't they? I think it's the Steelers with 6, Cowboys and 49'ers with 5, and the Patriots with 4. Number 7 for the Steelers would be my vote!

Freehand routing is one of the ones I've done nothing for, yet. I don't even know where to start. I've got a Porter Cable 690 and 7518. The 7518 resides primarily in the router table. I use the Fein...
It's the Laguna 2 horsepower cyclone. There doesn't seem to be a lack of suction at any of the stations. I'm just wondering if I need to tweak things on some of the machines to optimize dust...
So I'm brand new to the dust collection world. After nearly 40 years of working around the mess, I finally commited to installing a system. I found a Laguna cyclone on craigslist with all of the...
What are the advantages of a zero clearance insert? Does it help dust collection?
Thanks,
Greg
Just curious, what's the purpose of an electrical wire part way into a table leg?
Wouldn't the saw fence have to clamp front and back of the table to use these? I have a Vega fence that doesn't clamp at the rear of the table. It seems these would just raise the fence?
Does anyone know if any of the cyclone manufacturers will price their units without filters, or do you just have to buy the "stock" unit? It seems like that may present a savings.
Thanks,
Greg
Well, then that leads to a second question. How many guys have experience exhausting directly outside from heated space? What has been your experience with heat loss?
thanks,
Greg
I'm in the process of designing a dust collection system for my shop. I like the idea of exhausting outside for the health benefit as well as maybe a noise reduction. But, I've got the same...
if it's a straight cut, a carbide dado blade would be my choice.
Both pieces look like the ones on my Makita 9820-2 wet grinder. The little tank is the water drip for the wheel.
Greg
just curious why you've ruled out the Dewalt?
Greg
I can't answer your question from experience, as I've only ordered my track saw, today. I wouldn't think moving the rail forward would work very well, though. It seems like it would defeat the...
Actually, the Delta 12" saw has a 5/8" arbor. I took some measurements last night, and it looks like it would need at least a 10" dado stack to do any meaningful work. I've got an 8" Freud Super...
I've got a Delta 12" radial arm saw and would like to equip it for cutting dadoes. I've never used a radial saw for that. Is there a different type or style of dado set for radial arm saws? What do...
Hi Lewis, That seems awfully narrow for rails and stiles. If you are making overlay doors you'll get into trouble with 2" stiles where hinges go back to back. They'll end up nearly interfering with...
I often see the remarks about the softness of poplar. I've used it for over 30 years, on a regular basis, and often find dry poplar too hard to drive nails into. I see no problem using it for a bench...
That's the same style as a meatcutter's bone saw. Most farms had them around for hog butchering time.

How would the worksharp 3000 compare to a Tormek (or comparable Jet) system? Does one have advantages over the other, besides price? I haven't seen the Worksharp system, but have been looking at the...
Hi Greg,
Thanks for the fast reply. Mine is also a fixed base, made in the USA saw (model 7548). When I read your reply, I thought maybe I'd just missed something. But, no good. I took the blade...
Hi,
I've got a Porter Cable jigsaw that uses their proprietary "hooked top" blade. It's a great saw, other than the blades are getting harder and harder to find. I read somewhere once that there was...
