Sure! Hope you have been well. It's been awhile.
It's been a long time since I've posted here... Remember back when people posted the instructional DVD's that were being passed around and if you spoke first you'd get it sent to you and could watch...
I didn’t read the whole thread to see what was decided but I’ll tell you what I did. I bought the wood kit and Benchcrafted hardware a year or two ago and started a bench. And haven’t finished. I...
I have Chief Architect. Haven’t used it in quite awhile though.
I’m impressed also with how nice it looks in pine. I hadn’t given it much consideration for fine furniture wood but looks like I may need to reconsider. It’s plentiful in Alabama. :-)
Would like to get over to Highland Woodworking for one of your classes!
Paul Seller’s book Essential Woodworking Hand Tools is a good book for understanding the tools.
Nice! I was thinking about building my son one of these.
Glad to hear others are building these. I have exactly one leg glued together and need to dimension and do mortises etc. The Benchcrafted hardware is NICE.
I do have an ac in part of my shop but I use that end for roasting coffee. I built a wall with a doorway between the 2 sections. I wonder if I'd put a fan and a return in that wall that came on with...
Hi all. As I begin to collect more tools to do work by hand I am wondering how to prevent rust from forming. I live in humid Alabama and don't want any on my planes!
Should work. Get some 8020 and get to work. :-) Use angle iron rails top and bottom of your side rails and run on them with ball bearings with the little v's cut in them. I can't remember what they...
Thanks! Looks like I need to get it ordered.
I've gotten an invoice from Blanca and was thinking about pulling the trigger. Couple questions; How long did yours take to get here after ordering and did you end up paying any fees after it arrived...
I will have a large opening to move it in.
For some reason I hadn't seen some of the replies above. I asked her about cost of larger unit and I will definitely get the larger since it isn't that much more money. Thanks!
Well, I will have plenty of room. I also have a 4x8 CaMaster CNC so maybe 4' would be a good idea... What about attachments such as rotarys? Buy them at same time?
Thanks. This is the info I was looking for. What about size? Are there any drawbacks to a larger size?
I am thinking of buying a 6090 from Ray Fine. I was wondering about wattage and size. Is there any reason to go with a smaller machine or a lower wattage laser? We will be using it for engraving wood...
Did you check the woodturners catalog?
edit- I figured they might have them but didn't see them. Maybe could modify the salt shaker kit to work somehow?
If this works on a CaMaster add me too.
I'd like to be entered in drawing
This will be handy!
I could use this
