Thanks Dee, I got to remember to be professional sometimes. It's been a long day!
I'm sorry but I haven't properly introduced myself, I work with a small team at the Ferro corporation where we manufacture, distribute and service the CerMark laser marking materials. I figured you...
Sorry to hear that Amanda, maybe if we find out the issues your facing they might reconsider keeping the laser, it's worth a shot? I see from your profile that you're located within driving distance...
Sorry I must have been posting at the same time you were. We frequnetly use a laser watt meter to ensure the quality of or lasers for testing. I think some people call it a "laser puck" or...
Amanda, If you give me the lot number I can check the LMM-6000 and test it here on our epilog to see if I have any issues. I have some 3003 Aluminum tags I can make some trials on. Do you have a...
Amanda,
That's interesting, you say you've been making marks on these aluminum tags at those settings and it's worked before in the past?
Dee, I also think you guys do such a great job on this forum helping people out with the business. So much in fact, when I see someone post a problem I will open the thread and see you guys are...
We should make pamphlets and on the cover should be - "So you finally bought a laser, now what..." and then give some hints and tricks.
Oh sorry Dee, and I marked the front of the glass.
Thanks Guys,
Dee, I am not an advocate of using setting recommendations. I think settings are just to give you a starting point and hope that the material will work, I don't like taking chances,...
There was a little bit of a buzz floating around on color fill on glass so I thought I would share with you guys a piece I did for my Mom’s birthday. There are probably many other ways to color fill,...
Mike, that's a good idea! I didn't think there would be any interest in this subject, it was just a birthday present for my mom. I will start a thread with how I Lasered my moms painting on to the...
Thanks Dee! I'll let my mom know you liked it! Maybe when I visit her in Buffalo I will sanp a few pictures of it insatlled.
It was so long ago I may have to think about it for a bit. I do...
It should, a large sanitary ware customer uses this material for their logos and it had to stand up to like 10,000 scrub cycles on a scrubbing machine. The real key is getting the right setting.
I meant the photo's not taken very well.
Joe,
We do sell a product for making marks on glass, here is a piece that I made for my mom on her birthday. This picture's not so great, I think I need better practice at it. She loves to draw...
I would have posted the blog address but I wasn't sure if that was allowed. Sorry you missed the last contest but we had some great entries! I hope we will have more time to promote the contest...
I'm sorry my mistake, because Ferro stopped producing the red and yellow, then Thermark wouldn't be able to sell it. I wasn't sure if we there was any kind of agreement on continuing the production...
Steve,
Yes we have discontinued the red and yellow. You may wish to contact Thermark to see if they are still carrying those products. (LMC-34 and LMC-74). Also, with the contest, I just want to...

Just a reminder there is only 7 weeks left for the contest!
Thanks Dee! I believe that its the combination of the writing speeds and the wattage of a laser. It seems that the lower wattage lasers have a slower writing speed and the slower writing speeds and...
