Agreed!!!! I’ve planned with a LN low angle jack on the softest pine and on up to hard maple. I do have blades (three) set with different micro bevels all on a 25* primary bevel with the corners...

Agreed.... I was also thinking a scraper might even be ok for small touch ups on wooden bodies
Was your piece of granite custom ordered or was 5”x18” a standard size

I have a tite mark gauge and it does well across the grain but I find it tends to walk when going with the grain but repeated light strokes helps to prevent that
