I acquired a 52" timesaver dual head sander. Think it has two 8" hoses out of top and I was told it would convert into a 12 inch hose where the two meet. Anyone know the hp dust collector I would...
Thanks I was right next door today too and didn't think of that.
Yes Compton only 4/4. Also tried edensaw and hardwood industries. Tried Hearne hardwoods today to in PA.
Anyone know where to try in the US. I'm in Seattle so they must ship. Haven't called Hearne yet out of PA. I can get 16s here but only in 4/4. So anything from 16 up would work.
Thanks
Thanks Peter
Nope. ....

A guy from Montana today told me it was for sure cottonwood.

Hi John, I will be slabbing this. I can cut 69 inches so this is a baby. I don't that it's spalt. I will get a pic of leave. That should tell story. I only counted thirty rings, I don't think a tree...
Thanks, I will look for medular rays. I will call tree cutter now and see if he can get more info. I hope it's not a silve leaf cottonwood.
what a beast , 40 inches at both ends at 15 feet. No taper.
We do see English walnuts planted here. So maybe it's that. I also know that when trees get to a very mature age there bark isn't always the same as you would know it in its youth.
It grew between...

Hi Scott, I sell slabs. Most trees are 36 and up , up to 20'. I usually have them delivered to where I'm going to mill them. 95 percent is hardwood. Domestics. I have been around a few band mills and...
Thanks, prices weren't bad. I have heard the oscars aren't built very strong. I can have a 60 built with auto feed, electric start, auto up and down for 17k. 36 inch wheels.
thanks
That thing is like a circle cutter on steroids!
36 inch is tiny for trees around here. Plus you buy a 36 it can only cut a slab like 32 ish normally. There's tons of those around here. I want 60 or so.
Hi Larry, I'm pretty sure turbo sawmill is only a swing blade, didn't see anything for slabbing from them.
Peterson still hasn't got back to me on prices. All I need to make my decision between bandsaw mill and a Peterson or lucas is the price of a Peterson. Just called UK but there closes. Only 815 am...
