IIRC I made one almost like that in 1976 in Beginning Machine Shop class. The knurling tool fascinated me. After that everything I made that was cylindrical had knurling on it somewhere. :-)

Got a tall ceiling? Remember the car hood and/or trunk will be higher than the lift posts when raised. I found that ceiling joists are stronger than Volvo hoods. :(:eek:

You may take the cover off of the contactor and find the contacts full of dead bugs. That happened to my A/C Friday afternoon. Bought a contactor and capicitor, plugged them in and the condenser...

Last quote I got (November, 2022) was $11.70 bf for 8/4 FAS/Sel. The only 12/4 they had at the time was Cherry @ $12 bf.
