Actually the two next comments explained the two top knobs. Once you get close to your measurement you lock the knob on the right. You now can use the fine adjustment. If you want to lock you...
Paul, you are correct on all issues. For inside measurements there is a set button. If you press it once after you zero tool it will add .5 to the display. This is the thickness of the jaws.
THanks...
John, you are absolutely correct on the fine adjustment. When I didn't have the top knob tight the knob would just spin until it was all the way in and then would lock. You also answered the question...
I didn't see a machinist forum to ask questions so I decided to post here. If this is bad the administrator can delete or delete this post.<br>I recently inherited these calipers. They are Fowler...
HELP, I have a Chinese laser. I draw things up in Corel. They look nice. Smooth flowing lines. I then need to export them off for my laser (Lasercut 5.3). I have been using a PLT file. it works...
Bought the X7DSP controller from Light Object. I have a question I haven't found the answer to. If I import a file that is going to be cut and engraved two different color vectors. I want to engrave...
Thanks for all the help guys. Looks like I am going to have some experimenting to do. I ran into a problem with a file I made in Corel. I had 4 different outline colors. When I export as a .plt file...
Question Chinese laser owners. What type of file do you export to send to your laser. I've used a PLT for some time but have noticed that my circles are not round they have a bunch of segments if...
Is the granite sealer important after the image has been painted? I got the impression the the sealer was to keep the paint out of the cracks and chips. What process is everyone using to process the...
Thanks guys, I am pretty sure it is something to do with beam alignment. I put a piece of tape on the bottom of the cone. The spot hit dead center on the hole in the cone.
Bruce
Thanks Dave after posting this thread I came to the same conclusion. I went back over to the laser and removed the cone, fired the laser,...nope not it same exact spot.
Bruce
My laser is not cutting as well as it was last week. I tried a test firing of the laser and the mark is a hole where the laser fired, with a dark oval around it. The actual laser hole is to one side...
I am by no means an expert, but here is my understanding...To engrave certain materials you need to really lower the power of the laser. Most Chinese lasers do not run at lower than 15%. 15% of a 100...
Brett where are you located? I have a G,Weike that has been a real good laser. I get great customer support. I have the lc1290 80watt. From what I understand if you want to engrave picture you...
Walt, can you post a picture of your connections on the new power supply? There are adjustments on the power supply so you can control the max current.
Bruce
For that mater you could burn a dot, go all the way around the cylinder and do another dot.
Bruce
I would first try and cut/raster a single line all the way around and see if this lines up. It looks to me like something is not quite straight.
That is just my take on the it, hope this helps,...
Walt, the way I see it the connections on the new power supply are not the same as your old one. Look at the key on the silver label. Notice the letters H L P G IN 5V, Instead of 5v being your first...
What, you guys only spent 6 dollars to join? I paid $20 and thought that was a bargain..
I believe these bases are only 4" wide, I am not sure how wide the slot is.
The other Bruce
Do you mean the magnetic door switch?
Bruce
I would also check the magnetic door latch. So, the laser head moves, but the laser does not fire? You might want to look at the amp gauge on the front of the laser to see whta it does.
Bruce
Without a picture of the knife, your post is worthless.
Bruce
Where are you located? there may be someone right in your own town that can help you.
Robert, that is a double edged sword. It is great to have that much work, but can be very stressful to work non stop under those conditions. If you did buy another laser could you get you work done...
