I looked on craigslist check Gastonia 300.00 might work. While you are buying new tooling you might get 2 2MT X 1MT adapters for the new lathe they can be bought at most wholesale tool places.

Have the best of both worlds. Cut in 3/4 inch all the way round for pen blanks then make the bowl.

For very rusted items I use diesel. Put the ends in a gallon can cover with diesel let soak for a week. Works for me.
