I have one, and like most love it for hobbyist use. Not sure it would hold up in a commercial setting.
You got good use from yours. I acquired a free one many years ago and have never used it.
Bottom line on this lengthy thread seems to be, pick one and it will probably be fine.
Before I make the ~45min drive I'd like some opinions. The saw looks very clean in pictures. I'm told it was lightly used by the previous and current owner. Asking price is $350. What ya think?
How about sandpaper?
French's mustard cap on the Titebond bottle works for me.
Yes, I can already see change after only one day.
It is my understanding that over time the color will age to a nice reddish brown. Does this occur over many years or is it fairly rapid.
That was my thought
I too get Wood and have almost every issue of Woodsmith.
Maybe no help as mine are old and not Revo. But mine open to 25.75"
I too have ordered from them with no problems.
I'd say they are very skilled to do what they did , how they did it and not get hurt!
What about sandpaper on the bottom?
I too have the Rigid and agree best unit for the hobby woodworker.
Been using Titebond III for years and see no reason to change.
75 here, neither of my kids show any interest. But i am very pleased that they, their friends and other family members greatly appreciate things I have made for them.
Oh my Lord! How is it possible to manufacture al those minuscule parts? And the engineering and design is amazing.
Anybody have one of these 20v drills and/or the companion impact driver?...
He who dies with the most toys wins.
After 75yrs I have concluded you get what you pay for.
I've been reading everything I could find about the TS-LS and was hyped and about to order. Now after reading this thread I'm nervous. Hoping there will be an easy resolution.
Yes that's what I do. From the manual: "Try a faster feed rate or less depth of cut if the stock you are working begins to show burn marks."
I take very light passes at the highest feed rate with my Performax 16-32 smart sand and have never had a burning problem.
