Cool. Thanks for doing it!
I have to second on Delvies. Great folks. Have treated me very well over the years.
You're smart to use the glasses. One shot from a reflected beam and those retinas are toast! There are two cardinal rules... never risk your eyes and never leave the machine running unattended, even...
Hi Debby,
The first thing to consider is... what do you want to do with it? When we got ours our first need was to cut wood shapes, 1/8 to 3/8" thick, on a commercial level. We needed at least 50...
Thanks! I'll check it out.
Where have you been all my life, Kev? :)
I've spent who-knows-how-many hours duplicating lines and combining so an area can be filled.
Thanks!!!
Bert, thanks for serving/giving the way you do. We have patriot riders here. I often do memorial dog tags for their rides. Great group, great cause. Kudos to you.
Look closely at lens and mirrors. Not just for cleaning, but for worn spots too.
Me too? Thanks!
Cool! Nice design. Holler if you need anything.:)
Try this. Saved as an older version so X5 should open it.
Ungroup. Adjust text, then break it apart from the circles so it can be colored seperately if needed.
Click center circle on its border,...
Hi Bert,
I like your design, and the group it referes to!
Here's what I did... ungroup the piece, then break the text from the circles and center in space. (I didn't have the same font, this is...
I've found Corel tends to lock up when you're getting low on memory. Easy fix is increase RAM or have fewer things open and running.
Long time since I posted the question. Thanks for the advice and great ideas. Bryce, you probably figured it out by now... the solid plate IS for engraving. Gotta have a grid for cutting. Thanks...
I just did some sample burns on the new Rowmark Ultra red on white. Lower power, clean etching without a second pass or cleanup. I was thrilled with the difference. Looks like an end to some serious...
I use a lot of 1/8" plywood in my Epilog Helix. Warped stock can be a headache. If it's not too bad, tape and sometimes weights will work. Been toying with some kind of clamps for the bad stuff. The...
Your Epilog control panel has color mapping. Do each section of your art in a different color. Then in the control panel choose the settings for that color. Push "go" and sit back & relax!
ARA offers a class that will make all the difference for you. I took it at the Awards show and seminar last year in Las Vegas. (Coming again this year the week of March 6th)

What exactly are all your setting? DPI, Frequency, speed, power...
When did you last clean the lens and mirrors? Tried auto focus compared to manual?
I cut 1/8" black at 600 DPI 15% speed 100%...
Darryl- Good advice. I'll try to do that from now on. Thanks!
Doug- Thanks for trying it and the nice words. We make acrylic earrings and accessories for universities, along with the other normal...
Zep purple industrial cleaner also works. Home Depot has it by the gallon. I lay the grid in a plastic bin, cover it with water and pour in a bunch of Zep. 10-15 minutes soak and spray it off with a...
A cheaper alternative would be strip LED lights. My local electronics shop (RaElco) has them. 18" for $15. Several colors, run on 12 VDC and they can be cut shorter. Just lay the strip in the channel...

Here's a little tool I use to get the adhesive paper off small parts. Should work for the plastic, doesn't scratch and is easy to hold and manage.
Cut from 1/8" acrylic and then bevel the small...
The stink on burning can have a lot to do with the amount of glue in the wood. I use baltic birch ply rather than mdf. Much easier on the nose and the cutting grid, less mess, looks nice. The few...
