i ended up getting the missing steps figured out somehow but now i have slippage somehwere... i marked my coupler and bearing housing and ran a longer job and when it returned to home postiton each...

so i think i have narrowed it down to either the coupler or the leadscrew nut but i marked the coupler and thrust bearing housing... ran a long job and when i returned to home positions each coupler...
