Might be for elderly or people that are intoxicated LOL
What are the number of toilets in use compared to the number of table saws? I’m sure many, many orders of magnitude not only in number that exist but the frequency with which they are used per day....
This thread is therefore nonsensical if we're not discussing a tool when used. Good grief.
No disrespect Edward, but there is a lot of "fluff" in here that while I agree in principal with some of it, your original post was "Are your tools dangerous?" The simple answer is yes. If you...
Exactly, Mike. I don't quite understand the 'inanimate' argument either. I mean yea a bike or table saw isn't dangerous until you use it, but "dangerous", to me, means what can happen to me when...
Very cool idea. I’m going to design a handle and then inset the stems that attach to the drawer as my next CNC project
My sentiments exactly.
a) while I agree in principle, I have no problems accomplishing the tasks of the OP and I would still buy the stock guides.
b) true for 3/4 most of the time, but see (a) for 1/2 or 1/4. Makes it...
Yea, head scratcher for sure. Good old number 5 lead is ok for me. I try to measure as little as possible and cut/plan/layout to maximize moving my fence or making the same cut without changing. When...
I wouldn’t use a square to hang a door. But you’re not wrong that accumulated error is bad, but I think the poster was implying that chasing absolute precision in woodworking is a product of...
Patty, I don't think anything extra is needed, just experience. You should always be about 1/16-1/8" recessed from the back of the collet. Rule applies to handheld, bench or CNC routers.
It’s a nerdy regular expression. Replace the first with the last of your previous post ;)

That is so freak’n cool John, well done. Can’t wait to see the finished project.
I lived in Utah for 32 years (Layton/Roy areas) and while it doesn't rain, it still has weather that I'd like to avoid when making lumber selections. If you have to pull out a couple of pieces I...
Andrew, do you really want to stand outside in rain, wind, snow, cold, blazing heat, nighttime with no overhead lights?
I guess nothing is permanent but this wouldn’t be my starting point.
Yea it’s great. I tossed my big sled years ago, haven’t missed it.
Agreed. For the 8 pack it comes in at just under 20 bucks per sheet, shipped!
I'd build a square jig they fit in, then glue 2-3 layers at a time and a lid that pushes down with a 5 lb weight. For glue, 5 minute epoxy. In less than 10 minutes they'd be ready to pull out and...
Well done. I'm a toolbox fanboy myself, Husky brand, which are a good mix of quality and affordability. I've heard Harbor Freight have a line that is reasonable, but I haven't been in the market...
Agreed. I replaced my set with set of these. The Famag's are dedicated to fine woodworking and the old set for everything else.
I have 6 or 7 drawers to go, but I decided to tackle the worst one last weekend. This one is my Shaper Origin drawer of goodies, which required several different levels and types of milling along...
Good to know, thanks. I'll start uploading then.
Jim, isn't there a limit to the number of photos you can upload?
