I have and use both - my Makita tack saw and a Dewalt DWE7491RS table saw.
I got the Dewalt DWE7491RS table saw at Lowe's for $499. Home Depot doesn't carry it here in Hawaii and Amazon won't ship it here as well.

1. You may strain/burn the motor with at added torque/load of the larger pulley.
2. You may damage the pump with the increased rpm.
