My son's boss just got a Omtech 100W laserand wondered about that machine. Any body have any opinions about that unit. I have only used
Epilog and ULS and I have no idea about the Omtech.
That is what I was looking for. We are close the the DC area and we have several military offices around town and I just wanted to see what the rules where.
I have a few people asking about engraving on firearms. I usually don't do them as I believe I saw some message about needing a license. Is this true.
Marco Awards Group should have them in stock.
There is a group on Facebook that should be help you. there are a couple techs from Xenetech that can help you.
Well the customer finally showed up with the computer case glass 4 months later. I guess we will see how this works.
I am in need of an .eps file for the Army Ordnance Corps insignia. Need to rotary engrave this and not having a good copy. All I can find is jpg and gif files. I need this today to get this done. Can...
This is on a computer case so I question if it is really tempered glass (?). Customer wants to engrave logo and wording. See what he has if he ever shows up with it.
Have a customer that wanted to know if we can laser on tempered glass. Have never done it as far as I know. We have an Epilog CO2 maching. We quite a few acrylic and glass awards but not sure about...
I know how to fix it. Get a herd of goats, they eat everything and don't use gas. They emit it.
Gotta have a smart ass
Yes the Helix is a CO2. I thought that was what I was looking for. Thank you
I had a customer who wanted to engrave .003" mark in an aluminum tube. Not sure what type of tubing it was. We have a 50W Epilog Helix laser here that we do just awards work. We don't so anything...
I'll go along with what Ross said about copy. Customer needs to email the list or at least type it. I really do not like a handwritten text for anything. I have really bad, bad handwriting, I don't...
We use the Airflite catalog and use their list pricing of the plaque. I will include up to 50 characters of engraving. Everything else is normal engraving price. Again it depends on your location and...
Seems like a lot of work to save a nickel a day. If you had 5 machines it might be worth it, maybe.
Don't know how you can make any money at that price. He's got nearly that much in each plate in material alone. When he goes out of business i'll need to buy his machine because he's going to sell it...
We do plaques by the thousands here so you get pretty good at doing them by eyeballing, even on the small plates. But when you are getting started it is much easier to make a jig. The econo plaques...
Just became manager of a local awards business. Just did our inventory and it is outrageous. Over $100g of which $70g is over 5+ years old. Trying to figure how to unload some of this old inventory....
Mike - laser and computer are connected with 6' serial cable. All the ends are tight. This is something that has been going on for quite awhile. I just skips a line or paragraph. You go back to...
Matt - I run the X5 and a Universal Laser. Older M20 but it works great. I'm thinking it's in the Corel. This one is not online.
Mike - This unit is not online. No USB so no connection.
Just wondering if you have this problem. Use X5 and it skips lines when sending job to my laser. I have had the CPU in for repairs and they also replaced the memory card. 80% of the time it's fine...
Gary that worked good. I appreciate the help.
Been working with some bamboo I had it the shop to get a feel for it. Does a nice job. I have found on this machine that the smoke when I am doing any wood leaves a lot of stain. I have an OLD...
I got what I was looking for. But I was concerned about the backward hands?
