I really enjoyed reading the article. Brought back all kinds of memories of my own apprenticeship, no not woodworking. But 3 1/2 years of memories. Finding bottles hidden in the back room and just...

Don’t know how much difference but I have built a couple boxes from Chinese Elm that I cut down. It is a pain to work with hand tools and I used some power tools.
386134Let’s try that again
And more boxes
A few years ago after a heartattack I was told to take it very easy for a week letting things heal. Had a couple of stints. Bored I sat down at my bench and sharpened every chisel and plane in the...
I have had the grizzly for a couple years, the jigs are not the same quality as Tormek and I have bought Tormek jigs. Also I used a 14mm die and threaded my uprights for an adjustment nut. I only use...
Malcolm I am missing a small Jorge clamp, oh somewhere in my garage is a craftsman straight blade screwdriver. But I also have a drawer full of screwdrivers that has problems closing.
This is a little box I made to hold my archery string making equipment. Had a nice piece of air dried Missouri Walnut. Dovetailed it up and put first coats of oil on it. Hey then decided to make...
Patric I use the harbor freight saw to cut arrow shafts. I replaced the 2 inch saw with a 3 inch Aluminum oxide blade. Makes safety cover useless. But it cuts threw hard aluminum shafts quickly.
The young lady at Gen Drake got me for a Tite Mark. But I think a Lie Nielson low angle jack plane is on my list for the near future.
George, Thanks for the info. I think I have been making my bridges heavier than needed. For CBG I have been using maple and desert mesquite. One of these days I have to try and build a real acoustic...
George I also play around with CGB but being a saw dust maker I have made my own boxes. The last one I made I used bone nut and bridge. It sounds better than my previous ones. I have been told that...
Julie you made me go check my Veritas router plane and my 1/8" cutter is under also. Wonder if they stuck in a metric blade for 1/8"
Ron
I did that, when I told my Mentor about it, he said "I don't want to hear about it, brings back painful memories"
I am just a hanger on her but my vote is for an Acoustic especially a small body.
Let us know what you find, mine could be next
That makes me feel better as I am in the middle of a cabinet myself. Yesterday I took the 2 sides out of the clamps and found I had 2 right sides. A dead blow hammer is not going to help.
I just picked up a 4330 this week at the Home Depot sale. From my couple of test runs I am getting some snipe at front and back of the wood. I think my in and outfeeds are level and straight. Any...
I have a Delta that I put a Biesemeyer Fence on, but what are PAL's. I have heard about the link belts, but does the machined pulley make that much difference?
