Those knives should also be slotted so you can offset them in the case some knicks do get in the blades. Slide one far left, one far right, and one in the middle to see if it is imperfections in the...

I have 2 of the Rikon units in my shop. Its about 850 sq ft. One is powered with a switched plug on the same circuit with the lights. What I don't like about that one is I can't use the timer...
This looks like a good book. Please include me.
I was in the same boat. Makita had a good sale on their track saw. Free track and 4 total batteries for the same price, so I decided to go that route. Then I added a multi tool kit during...
I was wondering how to cut the slots for double demountable hinges on both the cabinet door and face frame. I am going to be replacing my kitchen cabinet doors and am wanting to reuse the existing...
Correct. That would be for the frame.
I am getting ready to build some interior doors out of poplar to paint. Would it be stable to use 8/4 poplar and dimension to 1 3/4" or glue up laminations?
Did you experience failures? Could you provides some more details? I am also looking at building some doors.
Thanks
I have found these cleaning sticks to do a pretty good job of cleaning gummed up paper while it is still on my machine.

Do you recall what finishes he uses? Maybe there is a happy medium here. I thought about trying a salad bowl finish on a test piece that had been treated with oil.
Thanks guys. Those were my concerns too. I was just going to give it some time and see how the wood looks down the road. I wish they would have said they wanted epoxy from the get go.
I really don't see why it wouldn't be an appropriate finish. There won't be any cutting or anything on it. Basically it is just a fancy serving board.
That's my thoughts too. I was going to tell them to use it. Wash it. Give it some time and apply a finish later down the road.
I made a charcuterie board for a friend. I gave it a mineral oil and beeswax finish. The new owner was wanting an epoxy finish. Is it possible to put an epoxy finish over the existing mineral oil...
My cabinets and drawer boxes are in good shape. They were custom when the house was built. A builder built this house to retire in so the house has good bones.
That's why I was thinking about welding up an angle iron frame. Take a lot longer to rust out. I have heard you can get heavier gauge studs from a sheet rock supplier and they would last longer...
When I get around to doing my outdoor kitchen, I am going to do as mentioned above and either metal studs or a welded angle iron frame and durock. I feel that will weather the best. I made a table...
I hadn't thought about veneering the bases. That seems like a good alternative to what I am wanting to achieve. I am going to look more into this. I appreciate the help! Thanks.
I am probably just going to live with it as this project is way down the line. I was mainly bringing it up because I am going to be building a bathroom vanity shortly and was trying to decide on the...
We actually did the countertops and backsplash 5 years ago. The appliances were all updated before we bought the house 6 years ago. All this oak is just wearing on me I think. The floor and trim...
