There's a lot of that going around...
Speaking as a (semi-)skilled hobbyist, I consider that sentiment grossly elitist.
Full disclosure: I came into the Creek through the then-named "Laser Woodworking" subforum, where hobbyists were...
Yes, this is a woodworking forum, but this is also the 'off-topic' branch of it.
A lot of the (non-woodworking) things talked about here are occupation-specific or at least involve specialized...
Looks just like my FZ1000. The physical switch reaches way back under the function knob, so you were lucky it broke where it did.
It's getting to the point that any ad that isn't medical stands out. That <deleted> Jardiance earworm is probably the worst. :(
Of course the political ads will ramp up now, so I guess I should...
Was that the one with Vincent D'Onofrio pinned between the subway car and the platform? Probably the best episode they ever did.
(Loved 'L&O:CI' as well, mostly because of his character.)
If you want variety, try this: https://pysolfc.sourceforge.io/
Something like 1200 different games, both card and tile based (e.g. mahjong). Once installed, no net connection required.
^ this.
Works like a charm at the Grand Canyon, where the cell service is spotty, to be charitable.
(If you see a dozen or so people standing in a group like they're waiting for the QB to join...
You'd love the "Roadkill" show on Motor Trend.
One of the best stunts they pulled was to tow a boat to a lake with a Chevy Suburban, yank the motor out and install it in the boat (all in the...
And how would that be different from the stuff I make from natural wood? :)
Not really a "controlled experiment", but I think that probably happened this morning. I emptied, washed, and refilled both of them, and wasn't paying any attention to what part went where. They're...
Understood...I just wouldn't expect that much difference between two identical mas-produced items.
It's certainly possible they came from different production lots, but no way to tell at this point.
Exactly: their preference for the feeders is not based on location. They actually prefer one of the two (identical) feeders over the other, regardless of where it's hanging.
Oh yeah, big time. I was just out there watching a 4-way (maybe 5-way, hard to tell) turf war at the "good" feeder.
And zero action at the other one.
If so, it's something incredibly subtle: same make/model, bought the same day at the same store.
Certainly nothing I can detect.
They're both relatively new and get a good wash-out during the refill process.
And I've tried twice washing/refilling the "bad" one at the same time as the good one, even though it was nearly full.
I have two hummingbird feeders on my back patio, maybe 30 feet apart. They're identical, bought at the same time, and neither has any leak that I can discern. The odd bit is that the birds prefer one...
All things considered, I'd worry more about mold in the pages than heavy metals in the bindings. Then again, I have mold allergies, so there ya go.
Or a big clump of floppy disks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM_sAxrAu7Q
And now I'm trying to figure out whether the welder goes on the input end or the output end of the effects chain.
Should sound a bit gnarly either way... :)
Also on Billy Cobham's 'Spectrum'...I bought 'Teaser' on the strength of that.
Can't the truck do that by itself?
I went through a similar exercise with the first DST change on my current car (2016 Honda). Looked up how to set the clock, went out to the garage, and...
A similar thing is where you do something amazing because you don't know ahead of time how hard it's supposed to be.
I worked on a large software project early in my career that we staffed almost...
Could be worse: I saw a couple lately that had 5-star ratings followed by text along the line of,
"This <whatever> is junk! Save your money and buy a different brand!!".
Put those in the "unclear...
Or you could use the setup from the "Bought A Water Pump" thread... :)
