I am still laughing!!!
Yes Brad…and that one pass causes tearout that requires 80 grit to repair
Bob, you are not alone. Because most woodworkers on this forum work in isolation, they are their own worse critics, and do not have a solid concept of "good enough". In my hand plane courage thread...
Thanks Phil, Glenn, and Jim!
Thanks Keegan. I am going to make a poplar frame with jute webbing topped by some foam & covered with tapestry.
Took a month break from the shop to repair drywall damage from daughter's overflowing toilet, painting, tree branch trimming, driveway repair....
Glad to be back in the shop

Folk art...a refreshing addition to the forum Dennis.
Good point Warren. There is so much unknown about that period. Do we have single iron planes from the early 1700’s? Was there a common bedding angle? I guess it varied with the planemaker.

As Lee said, trap them. I nailed about 8 field mice, but inadvertently got a chipmunk in my yard also. I like the Victor plastic traps which are bigger than a mouse trap but smaller than the rat...
Anuj, that is an impressive media console. The wood grain is dramatic, and contrasts nicely with the clean lines. Eye catching and functional at the same time.
Jim, a nice project. Using scraps to make a functional attractive piece of furniture feels good. Like you, my daughters are some of my biggest "customers". What is STP? The legs look like SYP (...
Sage advice Charles...I love looking at the planes for sale, but I have the ones I need and I am interested in woodworking not tool collecting.
The only time I used Unibond 800 I used commercial cherry veneer ( 1/32" ). I think I applied too much. I did have terrible bleed through and had to apply another layer of veneer over that using hot...
