Monetary, think I'll stick to my routers for the work.
I am building a display case for what is said to be a compleat set of wooden hand planes (24) that are approximately 200 years old. They were given to my customer's father in the mid 50's by an...
I like the "roll / fence"! That's cool!
Dang Boy, that's purty work!
As to which I like the best,............ how 'bout the third picture (both of 'em) - real toss-up, but I believe my pick would be the one with the tails in the ends....
Smoooooooooove.
Great looking job, you gonna actually use it, and take a chance getting it scratched?:D
Guess what....DIY has dumped him, in my area anyway. Used to come on at 8 AM, but not there as of past Monday (first day of daylight saving time). Plenty of home decorating shows on though.
I have seen some of the scraps used for clamping etc., that look remarkabley like some of the parts in the piece he's building. Helps when I screw up..... hey, I'm just like Norm.....naaaa.
You got some wierd neighbors....
Darren, I'll second, uh third, the suggestion to hold off buying a new saw. I used a Craftsman direct drive for about 10 years before upgrading. I learned it's drawbacks and how to overcome them, and...

"BLO" = Boiled...
Good looking job. I'm having a problem seeing anything but the natural grain. I do see a couple of spots in the first picture, not sure what caused this, but the only thing I see in the second...
Try a very light re-sanding of just the spot areas with the 180 grit and gently wipe on more stain over the sanded spots using a rag with just a small amount of stain. If it is water spots, the...
Could be you may have missed some of the wood with the 220 grit, this would make the 180 portion be darker. You didn't say whether you brushed or wiped on the stain. I prefer the wipe-on because I...
I love the rich warm glow of old pine and have been searching for a method of obtaining that look on new pine. I've found an article by Briwax that uses drain cleaner and wax, but was wondering if...
Keith, check your yellow pages for electric motor repair in the area, and take the motor to them. I see you are from Va. Beach, there is a Dewalt repair shop on North Hampton (brother has condo at...
This being my first post on this forum, I'd like to say howdy, and ask for your help. I'm in need of the little round inserts that are in the windows of theater ticket boxes - not the electronic...
