Fair. That's what makes the market what it is I guess. If everyone wanted the same type of tool at the same price point, then there wouldn't be a market, just a ticket taker.
A sander is a...
Buy a $50 ROS and put the $450 to something more important. Festool isn't worth the price if you're on a budget. Honestly, not even tradesman get festool in the field. If you don't have anything...

25000V will jump 1.5 inches in air.. I'd like to see how many volts a 36 inch arch would be haha.
Hello,
I have a 2 1/4 inch think maple table top that I have laminated and flattened. I also have 7" wide by 2 inch think boards that I have cut for the apron.
The end aprons have a 3/4 rabbet...
Get a garage heater like a modine hot dawg or just a mr. heater. Dust collector + air filtration + change of clothes/apron will help a lot. Also double doors.. one from mud room to garage, one from...

A truck is the most important tool of the woodworker.
The rest of his house is still in boxes. Priorities man.

no pics? you tease.. comon.
The thing with sharpening, is that it's not all that hard. But it DOES take practice.
I'd suggest getting a good honing guide like the Veritas Sharpening Honing Guide MK II... once you figure...
Their website feels like something that would have been made like 10 years ago.. bad search functions, no information really, just pictures. I was on there a few weeks ago looking for some bits and...
Tablesaw hands down. You can get away without a bandsaw if you build jigs for the tablesaw. You can also clean up the parallel faces with the tablesaw, joint, etc.
My rigid table saw is 37" as well and it's comfortable for me, 5'8"
That said, my workbenches feel the best at 32-34"
Everyone should have a good hand plane, at least #5 or higher, and learn how to use it to flatten boards. A hand plane doesn't care how long a board is, as long as the user's skill is there.
I'm pretty new to hand planes, and started my practice on spruce 2x4s (in Ontario all our stuff is spruce). What I can tell you from my limited experience, is that planing spruce 2x4s is a lot...
