I currently have a Grizzly G0513x2. I don’t want to bash Grizzly as they have some very dedicated followers. But it’s never been a great saw. It’s just ok.
I’m going to keep the Grizzly for now...

I have the Dewalt in corded and cordless. I mostly use them for small task like rounding edges.
The one downside of the cordless is the height. If I’m working in a tight area I use the corded...
I’ve bought a couple machines from Hammer in the last seven years. There’s always something that needs attention after the machine is delivered.
Customer service through Hammer was a nightmare....

I’m just basing it off both saws being listed as 24”. I believe the SCM has a much larger resaw capacity.
Maybe the 20” SCM is more comparable to the Laguna 24”. I haven’t gotten...
Patrick,
Have you dealt with Laguna customer service at all? Ordered any parts for your saw?
For those with a large Laguna bandsaw would you buy it again?
I’ve read a lot of the old threads but the reviews are minimal. Seems that the chief complaint about Laguna is the customer service....
I use the Bigfoot to mortise in space. It helps hold and reference the machine. I’ve mostly used it for fixed plywood shelving.
I use it on a regular basis. I mostly paint over it with milk paint, with the exception of fine cvg. It's plenty hard enough.
Thanks for the info. I'll be curious to see what felder says about the fence if I ever hear back.
Also, does anybody know what this is for? It's rigid plastic with some slots routed in the back...
I recently ordered from sliversmill. Fast shipping and good packaging. No complaints.
I recently took delivery of a K3 table saw. All went fairly well until I tried dialing in the blade and fence.
The blade stops at .5 degrees and won't go any further.

This is certainly on the money. However, I would say use what you have. If the apple is good and dry I would go ahead and use it. Instead of purchasing something else.
The apple wood is going...

I've had wood ones, vintage stanley, veritas and ln's. I sold all the others and now use only the ln's. The older ones are serviceable but not the same tool as the ln's. The veritas works quite...
That's a degreaser he is using not window cleaner. I also have to disagree and say that Simple Green does not smell good. The yellow lemon stuff is better than the green stuff though. I've used...
I would avoid using it around garden plants. Unless wood products are well aged and broken down they rob nitrogen from the soil as they continue to break down.
I've used walnut shavings around...
I agree with this and would continue the aging to the ball feet. These would be well worn. I think it's important to age the whole piece if you are going to age it.
Looks great though. Great...

I was mostly looking for something that is grab and use. I've tried the titebond hide glue. I have to put the heat gun to it and it stinks. Which I have heard is the sign of bad glue.
Right...
I switched to hide glue about a year ago and I'm happy with the results. However, I'm looking for an option when I haven't warmed the pot. Currently I'm still using yellow glue for spot duty. Any...

Might want to post it in the power tool forum.
The other interesting piece is Felder acted like this almost never happens. It turns out that it happens a lot.
I didn't even contact them for three months. They just updated me by email. ...
I've heard great things. Mostly from Sawmill Creek. That's why I ordered it. However the customer service has been not so great.
Felder was very friendly until I asked them if there was any...
Right on schedule. Now the holiday's are the problem.
I've had to seriously change around my project list.
I really wish they would have been honest with me about the delay from the start....
I ordered a A3 41 from Hammer in September. They told me to expect it in late November which seemed reasonable. Then they emailed me in early December saying it wouldn't be in until the last week...
