I have learned that I was tightening pipe fittings too hard. For 3/4NPT and below a 18" wrench is plenty with maybe 30-40 pound of pull. I had been over tightening by almost one full turn. Hand...

I bought a Powermatic 18" planer with a three phase motor. I would like to know how long it should take to go from a dead stop until it is at full speed and also how long to coast down to a stop. I...
Do not forget the ground terminal, both ends. I carries just as much power as the hot lead.

I bet the flexsteel guy would pay to come fix it on live tv with a can of hi spray rubber. Of course there is a slim chance it wouldn't work.

I see used panel saws on C-list all the time for 500-1200. That seems like a decent price to consider compared to a dedicate track saw. How accurate are they?
Bill D
Went pretty well. Now I have to figure out if the gears are all working. The adjustable bed rollers do not lift. Seem to be stuck. The stuff under the table moves and seems to be free Maybe a...
Found in 2018 in the Black Sea this shipwreck is about 2,400 years old. The deep water is so cold with low oxygen that wood and stuff is not rotted. They can see wood joining methods only known...
In California they work the other way. You turn on the swamp cooler for summer and shut it down for winter.

I have learned to microwave the meat until it is close to cooked all the way through then grill it for flavor.
My easy favorite is diced green peppers with onion microwaved until they are a little...
I was thinking wrong. there is no such thing as a slip fit bearing. It is the shaft undersize that makes it a slip fit. Did you write down the number before returning?
Bill D
Any ballbearing that is inch size will cost extra, but they reamed you. You can not drill the races. Grinding only. You could try a abrasive rotary expanding hone. I tried that on one cutter for...
Neighbor across the street built a two car garage. He priced the lumber, shingles etc about three years ago as prices started to rise. He contracted out the concrete and rough in wiring to a panel....
That kind of outfit shipping can be a killer. So try to find a brand close to your build site.

Good thing you got the warning letter before they fined you.
The problem with dumping into the the sewer system is a big rain will overflow the sewer treatment plant and flood untreated sewage...
The guy hanging from the ceiling is really being pushed around.

Sounds like maybe the motor comes off easy enough and you do not have to realign the drum. While it is off you may want to install a male/female cord end between the motor and the switch gear.

That saw looks like it would take some thought to rig for a vertical lift. I suppose it would be lifted from the bottom and tied so it would not flip upside down.

Are you saying the power to that box comes off the buss bar not a breaker? I would leave it covered and disconnected. No need to buy an expensive AFCI/GFCI breaker that will not increase home...
Square D QO breakers came out in 1955, still being made. Match up a picture of one. Homeline breakers are not the same but the main lug breaker will interchange.

Looks like a standard Lovejoy coupling. I think there are two common ways to replace the spider. Remove the entire motor or gear box or, unbolt one or both hubs from the shaft and pry them apart...
I have read here that some of the European bandsaws state, in the manual, that those holes are not for lifting. They are designed only as tie down points.
I do know that Bridgeport milling...
I guess some are for lifting then. Just make sure the factory approves before assuming things that might fail under load.

Pancake drill picture. takes threaded drills. I have seen small threaded chucks to fit. This photo appears to show a chuck as well as the pancake attachment. I use mine to drill inside electrical...
Pancake AKA Porkchop drill adapter. No need for the full pancake pneumatic drill. You will have to buy some threaded drills to math. I assume 1/4-28.
