Why does this site continually tell me that it "wants to run the following add-on:'Apple' from 'Apple Inc.' "?
I can't give them away in my area.
Thanks! I have been told that I have the most 'decorative' firewood
I decided to just 'play' in the shop recently and use up some scrap wood that was just laying around.
The first object is a combination of walnut and a chunk of flamed box elder.
I am not...
Yes I have legs, and yes they settle the same as the AB. I did that procedure when I originally set it up, perhaps I should do it again.
I have a call into Brent on another small issue, but I...
It is a Robust Liberty.
I checked for sawdust buildup, and the drive belt looks fine, but I will check again .. thanks!
I have just started to notice a slight vibration when my lathe runs between 2000 and 2100 rpms. Up to 2000 and past 2100 it is dead steady, but within that range I can hear and feel the vibration....

A friend gave me a small branch which had been removed from a box elder tree. You could see the red colored streaks in the ends of the branch, but I had no idea what it would be like when I opened it...
Great video!! I learned a bunch of new techniques that will make my pen turning life easier in the future.

Thanks for the replies. I am lucky to have a friend with a large sawmill in northern Wisconsin who saves all the useable burls for me as they are cut. Before I met him he was running the burl stuff...
I have started working on a bunch of burls which have been acquired over the past year or so. I love the way they end up, but am really looking for a better way to get past the initial rough-out...
Yes indeed!!
Very pretty ... to me it looks more like highly polished, colored glass than wood.
It's always a pleasure looking at your 'creations'.
What a pretty piece of work ... great job!
Thanks for the kind words folks. As a relatively new turner, getting praise from folks whose work I admire on this site every day is special!
I tend to agree with some of you that this may be...
