OK, I'm getting a nice Jet 14" 1.75 HP bandsaw delivered on Monday in a crate. I've never unpacked a big crated tool like this!
my main question is what's a good way to remove the cosmoline? Putty...
yeah first time for me doing that, I wanted to be able to see around the edges of the 2x12s, to see the thickness, but how to deal with the gaps .. 1/4" splines from red balau!
Board and Spline,...
yeah Bill that's what I found out :-)
no I don't do any commercial, this is for a roofed entry up in hollywood. Those 2x12 you saw us burning are the gate boards

yeah we ended up using the same big nozzle we were using. The only wider one I could find (the flame king ken recommended) was too wimpy with the 1lb can of propane.
want to see using the big one...
yeah I ordered that one, a bit smaller then I hoped but we'll see.
yeah Ken good size and shape but I couldn't see the surface I'm burning so that's out.
Naw that one has the round burner like the one I have, I'd like a rectangular burner.
yeah that one's too small Ken, but the right shape!
Folks, I need to find a rectangular propane torch tip instead of the round ones. Are those actually made?
we've been doing a lot of sugi ban charring, the round tip is fine when doing a heavy...
I have both the 10" and 12" cordless Makitas in the shop. Great saws, maybe the most accurate SCMS I've ever had! I highly recommend it!
Yeah this customer decided against a moon so I have time now to get a better plan in place.
Yeah we've built quite a few moon gates and usually use Titebond III. Springback's not too bad.
here are some more, you can see how we used to wrap the lams around the outside of the jig, but the...
I glue up these moon gates using nine 1/4 x 4 x 20' long laminations, clamping them off to these 1/2" dowels I've drilled in to the top of the round table jig's wooden edges.
these wood dowels...
She's so smart she can escape from anything, already escaped from one kennel at a job site by digging under it, she's almost 3 years now.
but that is a possible solution, maybe I should look for a...
Folks, my little husky mix is such an escape artist I can't trust leaving her at home so have to take her everywhere which means leaving her in the truck with the windows cracked! But it's been so...
yeah I don't need heavy duty, these would be for routers, sanders Etc.
what weight cord for these type of tools, 10/4, 14/3, Etc?
I need a few more cords for the shop. What's a nice flexible brand / type I should get? These would prob be 20' and maybe 25'.
OK I'll be picking up a Furminator today! Luckily this little girl has a short coat!
Thanks for that Mike, and Andrew!
Who has a link to the equate new skin? I can't find it on this page https://www.walmart.com/search?q=equate+new+skin
I see these deshedding shampoos that help with stopping shedding in double coat dogs, but I have this little husky, Summer's coming to So Cal, and I want her to shed! Is there a shampoo / whatever...
Penofin is what I've been using for years https://www.penofin.com/wood-stains/ultra-premium-red-label-wood-stain
