I have a rag in a can, a chunk of beeswax lying around and some chunks of gulf wax. Whatever is convenient.
Packrats prefer beeswax.
I've run into enough companies that are seemingly using Covid as an excuse to fail to provide service, I'm not sure if 'well-established' companies are trustworthy anymore either. I'm still waiting...
Me too (I dubbed from about an inch or so up with a fine diamond stone). Although the last time I commented on this, someone here informed me it was just because I had poor technique...
so prepare...
You should try buying bicycle parts currently. Makes LN planes look readily available.
Take PayPal?
I have one, if you'd like it I'd be happy to get rid of it.
I don't remember how I got it, but I didn't purchase it. It's more painful to setup than a bench top machine is, and it doesn't work...
Was going to mention that, also Wearings "The Essential Woodworker" if more prose-y reading is your thing.
Awesome! I'm sure you'll be very happy with it :)
Well, ok. But this is now sounding way too much like work. Good luck!
Hi Clifford, it's a saw vise. Keeps it nicely out of the way too.
You don't have to air gap it. If you're using this machine as an appliance, why bother watching videos? Why install insecure software?
Just reduce the risk.
If that's the case, I would highly recommend disconnecting it from the Internet and only using it as an appliance.
It was auto-uninstalled on the last system that (I had forgotten) it was on last week by Adobe's auto-update tool.
I think it's probably hardware, then again the OS is now obsolete as well.
I only scrape what I can't plane. If it's flat and open I'll use a #80, if it's curved or cramped a card scraper.
I think it's more likely an issue with hardware acceleration, given this bit.
Try this:
Click the “Customize and control Google Chrome” button. (It’s the button at the top-right with three dots)
Choose the “Settings” option.
Scroll to the bottom and click “Advanced.”...
Does this happen when running firefox in safe mode? Or, have you tried chrome (less interested about the browser than it uses a completely different engine). FF has been a resource hog recently IME.
To be honest Bob, I haven't weighed it.. but it feels like less than a bag of dog food, so I'd say around 20lbs? It works well, for me, because I can basically just hold it on my shoulder and hook...
I hang mine from a beam on a dowel, actually I hang a lot of things in my shop now

IE has issues that makes it now inherently insecure.
People want cheaper goods and companies want more profits. There's only one way to do that, reduce costs. Labor costs are the easiest to reduce.
I had one that was mounted to 2 laminated pieces of 3/4" baltic birch. I'd clamp that to the table. It worked fine.
All the PT here has the same roller marks. It seems to be regional in that regard.
Well, it does look better than the green PT. I'd totally use it for decks etc and most of the stuff I've seen is ground contact rated.
