Thanks Jim.
I've built a pair of night stands to match the bed that I built last year. They are made out of quarter sawn white oak that I sourced at a local saw mill that only works with urban lumber, so trees...
It's about 3.5 inches off the ground with a wedge underneath it. So I just unlock the lid, pull out the wedge and it drops clear.
Been watching all of your videos, very good! Now I'm not going to get any work done today :-D
I just constructed a similar dust collector tower in my garage. http://i.imgur.com/qaLOaLe.jpg
I'm using screws just to keep pieces in place as I put together the ducting ( still a work in progress) and then I pull the screws out and do the whole joint and long seam with foil tape.
Does anyone have updated opinions of these i/t bar clamps? They're on amazon with no reviews: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DAPPY20?psc=1
Really like this idea!
Have you been using the machine this whole time as is?
Did you ever get to this Alan? *three years later* I found one of these used, and I'm wondering how hard it was to modify it to this extent?
The cutter head isn't flush with the outfeed table, the top of the knives are.
Build a solar kiln?
Never mind, got help at: http://lumberjocks.com/topics/117522

Hello all, I just purchased: http://www.leeson.com/leeson/searchproduct.do?invoke=viewProductDetails&motorNo=120341.00&productType=0 off of ebay. It is 230v, single phase. It has 5 wires: 2 black, 1...
Yeah I went with the leeson :)
So I am going to assemble my own dust collector and I'm looking at two different blowers. My setup is going to be pretty simple. 6" ducts to the tools, SDD cyclone, blower, then out the wall into a...
I contacted the seller, see if he can meet sometime this weekend. Hopefully he is able to demonstrate that it works :)
So I am going to purchase my first dust collector. Currently I am using a Dustless hepa vac with cyclone, which works well for smaller tools and one tool at a time but is very loud and obviously...
I was actually pondering that earlier. Not in the cards anytime soon though.
Both our cars are 2004. I'll let the wife park in the other side of the garage during the winter, but it's a long walk to the house anyway so it's not like it helps that much in the winter anyway....
While reading your reply I was thinking: "When
I started here, all there was was swamp. All the kings said I was daft
to build a castle in a swamp, but I built it all the same, just to show
'em....
I am in WI. I'm running a dehumidifier in the basement right now, which is currently where almost all the tools and lumber is.
yeah I don't have any neighbors close enough that they would get a plume of dust or anything. I'll run a cyclone first.
Yeah it'll definitely be easier to "fix up" the garage than the basement. Even thought it'll be hot in summer and cold in winter. Plus then I can just open up the doors and sweep stuff outside, and...
I think I will ultimately go with the garage. But first I will finish the electrical work and drywall or plywood it.
