Evening folks, Looking for something to protect my deck rails. I built these about 5 years ago and have redone them twice since. I'd like to try an oil finish this time so I can just continue to...
I know this is an old thread but I thought I'd show a pic of my rails made from cedar trees here at the farm. I had 4x4 treated posts I never liked so I wanted to have a post that would fill that...
Just for reference for people in the future considering laguna products. The sandpaper clip on a supermax dru sander failed. I called many times and finally got a rep. 8.00 for the part, plus 8.00...
If the other motor falls through on OWWM there is a bracket design you can build to adapt standard frame motors to a uni. I have one and it works just fine.
FWIW, I've gone to Trex type deck boards for both houses and feeders. I had a lot left over from a large deck. Machines nice, glues well(epoxy) and lasts.
I use magnetic sewing machine lights. About 10.00
I have steel framed rikons I'd give away if I could.
IMO, I'd go riser block. I've used a lot of bandsaws in my day and nothing beats that Delta. I few are equal, but none beat it.
Just FYI and I'm going by memory but a 508 cost 119.00 in the late 30's. In todays money I seem to remember it being about 1000.00 in new cost.
As far as double insulated it's a...
I actually have a Delta tilt top dedicated for box joints. The nice thing about a Delta tt is it aligns like a cabinet saw. it also has a great dust collection port.
What kind of jig? The jig I made works on my delta bandsaw and delta belt/disc sander. I find it easier to cut close on the bandsaw and finish size on the disc.
When I returned to school and questioned it I was told "It's done. Nothing we can do." I then asked how to file a grievance against the district. Now all the sudden we're looking into changing it.
The dust collector was sized to the system. I never got up and sized the motor but when it was first installed it was tripping because it was pulling 500 amps. That was with the old pipe. I'm...
I left for the summer and came back to this. I had a 16" main with a 12" branch. I now have a single 6" main with 3" drops.
There is a 24" planer, 6 bandsaws, 2 tablesaws, 8" jointer,2 , 3...
New , that saw was 3200.00. 16 is fair but a 500.00 uni with a bies would work as well. Just won't have a front tilt. Key is tuning the saw.
All I use are 1/4 6tpi hook blades. Have one on my 20" rockwell and my 14" delta. Haven't found anything it can't do.
No thought or did I not make myself clear?
Searched the forum and didn't see an answer to this. Did pre lock master lifts move on their own? I have the oldest version with the belt drive and it does move if anything gets loose but if kept...
I have a 1900RPM 450W 90V dc motor I wanted to use on a 2" belt sander build. It was a pitching machine with 2 motors but only one motherboard. My first thought was a router controller would work...
How about wood "cookies" ? They look nice and would be super easy. I'd use epoxy whatever you choose to do. Also, sand the chrome plating off because it'll give way later on.
I liked Rods bandsaw shaped objects. Casey, you can pick up a used Delta reasonable. It is the saw all others should be judged by. blades readily available anywhere, cuts great, lots of parts...
G10 is fiberglass and resin. Definitely not rubberized.
Most are still made in the USA. Here are some I modified from wood from my farm.

I have a dust collector that hits 500A on start up and I have the same problem op. I think the head spins to fast. Unfortunately for me it's a necessity for the work I do.
Sorry folks, I guess it got pulled. I offered a part shipped for 4.00. I was probably going to LOOSE money on that deal. envelope shipping is 4.00 and I was going to have to get an envelope. A...
