I've always thought this cabinet was pretty cool. No fancy dovetails but you can surely modify to your heart's content.

The last three pages of this thread are all about this Tom.
Lower for thin plane blades and upper for chisels.
Very cool Jeff.
If anyone owns a Veritas plane then you can purchase a slow Norris adjuster from Lee Valley. They are about 15 dollars.
If anything now IS the time to fix it. Staff are presumably still getting paid so why not get the propeller heads to sort this out whilst twiddling their pencils at home. This is of course assuming...
You should have done this!
That's exactly how they do it. For your home router or modem, make sure the default password has been changed and that no unnecessary ports are open.
They sort-of did when they had their 'Tools 2nds' sale earlier on in November. Rob mentioned that this was done in order to make sure Santa delivered your purchases in time for Christmas.

Hackers target websites with poor security or outdated protocols. Most of the time it's nothing to do with the actual content of the site.
I don't know what happened to the site but you could use archive.org to access past pages. It's sometimes very slow and not everything is there. I would grab what info I can though.
Or this link...
I've found this from Lee Valley to be excellent. You can even stack them together to get a broader wheel. Just have some bushes/spacers handy if you only get one.

Yes all good thanks Fred. For some reason we have nothing like the attrition rate seen in the US. Not sure why though. Been watching your elections pan out and here's hoping the economy gets back on...
A new/old egg beater drill is now available from Lee Valley. Looks interesting. I have enough vintage models so probably won't buy one but it looks cool.
The blurb on the web page is as follows;

You mean like 6.35, 12.7, 3.18 etc? You would have two sets of identically sized chisels, just different markings.
The mortise doesn't know you're using a metric chisel though.
One of computer techs is like that. I won't even let him sit down in my office. His rust attraction has however improved after he stopped smoking.
Good to hear from you George!
I would say that it's highly unlikely that Tom sources his leather from some backyard Chinese dog skin leather shop so I would test it for a week and then regularly keep an eye on it.
The chromium tanned leather from Horween is top notch but others may be more on the cost cutting side as you say Chris.
Ta Derek.
Keep well.
I bought a hard felt (well it felt hard on the pocket at least) buffing wheel from Lee Valley. I'll be trying it this weekend.
The issue is with chromium tanned leather as this may contain minerals that attract rust. Veg tanned leather is fine but you don't find this in the really thin pieces of leather.
Wow that first video highlights just how tough and resilient men were back in the day. Completely different to the tattooed hipster nancy beta males that are skipping around at the moment.
Which is why I always copy photos to my PC first then upload (to any site). I can crop easily and fix other issues. Much easier on a PC than on a smartphone.
That half back saw is definitely something that I don't need but certainly want. It doesn't look like Ron is selling these anymore.
