I was hesitant to spend that much on a little piece of carbide but I can attest it does work. As Dereck says fit only one handle as drawing out the produces better results.
I think in inches so decimal inches have worked for me as I don’t have to deal with fractions.
No question, my bandsaw.
I had the Microfence for my Porter Cable 2 1/4 horsepower routers and an adapter for a Porter Cable trim router. I took the adapter off the trim router and it works perfectly on the small Dewalt.
Type 11 Stanley #3. That plane is sweet.
Decimal inches for me but I wonder if it wouldn’t make sense to change to metric as finding rules and tapes in decimal inches is not very easy.
I would like to be included. Never heard of them before.
The jig becomes very useful if you have the 1/2 inch spear point blade. You attach it and freehand sharpen the bevel on either side.
I generally start at 120 and go up to 180 or 220 depending on the application. Edges may get up to 400.
Never had any issue with wax. I let it dry a bit and buff it. I usually sand before finishing and there is no clogging of the sandpaper.
Johnson paste wax works Very well on the beds. I have a second generation one and the beds are fairly smooth.
As you get older you appreciate the benefits of a hybrid shop. Machines for the heavy work and hand tools for final adjustments and fitting.
They sent me router table fence parts as well at no cost.
I find it easy to think inches and feet for woodworking but I find fractions a pain hence decimals inches for me.
Gyokucho #372 would be the rip dozuki recommended.
The lifting straps go in the well under the jointer/planer. I used an engine hoist to take my a3-31 off the pallet and onto the Portamate 3500.
Jointer planer, bandsaw, drill press and router table are used extensively but hand tools are used for final fitting. Generally I use the best tool for the job however I won’t do machine setups if a...
I second that. had a little piece missing from the clamp on my professional router table fence. called them and a few days later they sent me the six pieces that make up the set for the fence at no...
Timberland deck shoes. I also have rubber mats in in front of workbench, lathe and front and side of bandsaw.
#1 looks like a burnisher for a card scraper.
I have the Seneca guides and I use them mainly for repeat cuts. I also use the TSO square and it is great to make one mark and cut. If you have a table saw I don’t think you need them. For narrow...
The new Lee Valley short blade guide will handle it very well.
Great execution. In my experience small stuff is a lot harder. Well done.
