It's the hot melt veneer tape, I'll likely go with a solid band next time. I'll try reheating it and roll the dice on damaging the finish. It's a latex and I still have everything masked off so not a...
I installed some maple edge banding on cabinets that I've been working on and when I painted it the edge banding started bubbling shortly after. Has anyone come across this before and know how I...
I finished spraying some cabinet doors with Benjamin Moore Cabinet Coat and while I’m very happy with the finish I’m trying to figure out how to get some stubborn dust nibs out of the final coat....
Thank you, I'll try that.
I'm finally setting up the scoring blade on my K3 and when reading around on scoring blade thickness it sounds like the scoring blade should be .1 to .2mm thicker than the primary blade. My scoring...
I've got the M18 Super Sawzall and have been happy with it outside of blade changing. The quick release chuck or whatever it is called is anything but.
Yup - I reset mine when I put it back together. I have a sharkguard I'm constantly fiddling with.
I finally got around to changing the belt last night and it wasn't difficult at all. Sharing the instructions and photo I got from Felder as well:
1. Disconnect saw from power source.
2. Raise...
I'm afraid with my current hand tool skills I'd make a mess of it. Something I definitely need to learn.
Really nice pieces! I'd definitely be more comfortable using a tapering jig, would just need to build one for the slider.
I do have a miter saw, that would certainly help with time. Would just need to figure out the clamping jig like you mention.
Hi all - I'm currently working on a credenza that is almost complete and am trying to figure out the best mechanism for my dad and I to make the legs/feet based on our tools and experience. The legs...
Has anyone changed the belt for their scoring blade on their K3? Mine somehow broke and I finally got around to ordering a new belt but haven't been able to find comprehensive instructions on...
That is a great idea, thank you for the tip!
Thank you for the suggestion. This seems to be the consensus so Timbermate it is for me.
We're working on a project with some maple ply and need to do some minimal patching. Reading reviews online for maple colored fillers it seems that the reviews are a bit polarizing to say the least....
So the 4mm thickness of the domino works fine but the 4mm tenon is 17mm wide which is wider than the slat if that makes sense.
This is incredibly timely and perfect. While we don't have the exact same doweling jig it is more similar than different and it should work just as well for my dad's project. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. I do actually have the Domino DF 500, though the smallest domino is still too wide for the slat unfortunately. I'm trying to imagine how the jig for the router would look for...
I'm helping my dad with one of his woodworking projects where he is making a credenza with sliding doors that have narrow slats in the door frame. To give you a visual, this piece here has doors that...
Definitely, I use this attached to my Rotex at low speed. Don't use the vacuum attachment though. In the past I've used Barkeepers friend as well to help clean it up.
Moving my fence to that position would likely help me as well. My issue isn't with my cut quality as I got the fence, very tediously, dialed in and can make . It's all around when i'm making a cut...
That's a great idea, I definitely don't see felder budging as it is within their spec. Now to find a machine shop near me.
I was a bit surprised (and annoyed) to learn that there is a tolerance for the amount the fence can bow on my K3 and that I'm within it per Felder. The amount of bow in the fence is between .002 and...
