Depending on what finish you are looking for as engraved have you looked at mechanical engravers as well as laser.
Different methods and very different results.
Was hoping for a reply but I guess I'll have to look elsewhere....
Checked my notes, the output is a volt free contact across pins 1&2 of the socket. On the Speedy control board there is a V212S Photo MOS relay , pin 1 of the socket is connected through a fuse on...
I think I might have that info will look it up tomorrow but I can tell you it does not output a voltage but has a pair of pins that short through a solid state relay. I think its pins 2&5 but need to...

This is true :)
Vector cutting speed is about tube power and material so like for like speeds will be nearly identical. Raster is about how fast you can get the head to turn around on each pass.
My 2p
It would still need the data stream to be interpreted and converted as it will need to be spilt into 3 different time controlled variable pulsetrains - one for each stepper axis. The internet...
Naaa, Marketing Manager, same guy who thinks its a 3D printer :D
Glowforge forums are heavily moderated, makes the CIA look like an open group. :D
Yep I remember that lie too - its neither 3D nor a printer :D so calling it an engraving business machine is no more inaccurate.
I see the patents as being registered to be sold or more likely licensed in the future, thats the long term revenue view of VC's.
The patents don't really cover anything genuinely new just a few...
Nothing worng with rebranding the Muse, probably means there will be support outside the USA via Dremel.
Its not unusual for accounts to get hijacked and fake sales put on, saw several last year when buying a motorhome, contacted proper ebay account owner on ome of them and they knew nothing about it....
