See if you can find a duplicator first, then find a lathe that is compatible. Trying to reproduce a given profile on 4 pieces of wood can prove to be VERY STRESSFUL.

The only time I've had this problem is when I only left the bowl in the DNA for 24 hours. (esp. with larger bowls) - Try soaking it for several days and see if that helps.

Reed is right, Bill Grumbine specifically says not to use drywall screws in his video. He suggests SPAX screws which I use exclusively for tasks like this.

Go to your local Feed Store and look for something like a horse feed bowl. I found one that has angled sides and fits a 16" bowl quite nicely.

While finish-turning an NE bowl, if some of the bark breaks off, what do youi do? Do you leave it? Break off the rest of the bark? Try to taper the break? Make it a normal flat bowl?

Nice job! It keeps the profile of the stopper short, which is good.
