Has anyone any knowledge of the construction of a steb center, more precisely a PSI unit?
Yesterday when completing a turning I noticed that the spring loaded centering pin was stuck at the depth of...
John,
I like the form and design flow of the bowl. I have never seen Ambrosia Maple up close and personal but it sure looks like a nice wood!
Wayne
Larry,

John,
I have been using the P&N 1-1/4 roughing gouge for over 4 years and it is one of the best turning tools I have ever used. Its very well made, rugged and has a strong mounting tang(round)....
Hi Bob,
Great ideas and food for thought. Where can one purchase the stadium seat foam you mention.
Wayne
Nice job Steve and very interesting shape. The grain in the wood is really striking.
The only wood I get up north here is birch, poplar and black ash which unless spalted are pretty dull by...

Jonathan,
Lovely job on the bowl/deep platter.
The rim proportion really frames the bowl and sets it off and the texturing is very attractive. Will have to explore texturing soon.

Wayne
James,
Whats to critique? This is drop dead "gorgeous"!!!
The spalted maple is spectacular and what a rare find?
Great job.

Bernie,
Glad you did not suffer any serious problems with your exposure to dust and that you are back turning! Funny how we take things for granted until they bite us-I will be wearing my Triton...
Donny,
That wood looks fantastic and look forward to seeing the completed bowl.

Mike,
Very nice looking bowl! I always found cedar to be nice stable wood for turning!
Does the wax still let the aromatic smell out or lock it in ?

I always get a little tense when nearing the final touches on a turning as that is when things go wrong.
Looked good up to that point.
Wayne
Bill,
Lovely job and finish on this project. The spalting is spectacular so its good you incorporated it in the finished product. I did not even know that walnut spalted but then living hewre I do,...
John,
I really like the simplicity of design and the decorative rim goes so well with it.
Superb all round.
Wayne
I have a few of P&N tools and they are first class IMHO
I absolutely love the big 1-1/4" roughing gouge and the bowl gouges. The large 1-1/4" skew is a solid performer also.
Wayne
Drop dead gorgeous. Wonderful job.
Wayne
Very nice Gary-your perserverence paid off.
Wayne
First a comment on the workmanship -EXCELLENT.
Second, the form is simple and the contour flows so smoothly.
Fine bowl.
Wayne
Rookie or not you did this nice piece of wood justice.
Wayne
Lovely piece of wood and your expertise in turning it shows it off. The finial fits the shape and also looks very functional. Good work Curt.
Wayne
Good job Rob, I like the "jug" shape and the color is neat.
