Hi all. I bought some 4x4x8 wax coated Norfolk Pine bowl blanks intending to cut them into 4 pcs and turn them into salt cellars with a pivot top on a magnet. I have done this before with dry wood....

Glad to here from some that magnolia is ok to turn. I have a chance to get some, but I think I will let it lay around for a while to see if I ca get some spalting.

I am thinking that epoxy would be the only suitable finish for a turned wood shot glass. Thoughts anyone?

I put a Shop Fox 1826 in my small shop. I have it connected to my 8” jointer, band saw and table saw with 4” hose and gates at each, also have a 2 1/2” for the vac hose. Worked fine for the to saws...

I am having trouble finding a bowl tool rest for my GO733. The problem seems to be the the rest holder in the banjo, and stock rest shaft measure 63/64s the Nova rest I tried was 1” exact. Any ideas?
