I have one of the older DeWalt DW 625 routers. It is an Elu in yellow. Does anyone know where I can get the accessories to use PC template guides. I have been on the net but nothing so far.
I had this problem. The fence can creep because the tightening lever cannot be turned enough. A Seneca Domiplate cured it. I have installed the tightening lever mod also but I haven’t used it yet.
I fought with deck coatings for years. The problem with paint type coating is they will peel. Then you have to sand or pressure wash off the remaining. I use a product called Ready Seal. It looks...
I agree with John. That purple HF gun is the stuff. I also spray water based varnish with it.
I used two on my last sled. My Dubby uses one and it is perfectly accurate. I don’t think it matters.
I have a 16-32. I don’t use it a lot but it is great when I need it. I changed the paper attachment to hook and loop. The finish is better and it is not as prone to burn the wood. I used it last...
Good work. Cherry is my favorite.
Yes, sometimes..
I love the domino but I agree the fence adjustment could be better. My old Dewalt biscuit joiner has a much better fence system. I use the Seneca Domiplate whenever possible.
Really nice build Glenn.
Nice job. I love Waterlox on cherry.
I use them occasionally where it is hard to use more traditional joints. I hate the way they look.
I agree with all of that. If I make anything requiring really big mortises I will get it back out. It looks like your machine could be built even cheaper than Matthias’s.
I built and used Matthias Wendell’s horizontal mortise machine. His machine works like Johns except the table is stationary and the router moves in the XYZ axis. It worked great but I parked it after...
I forgot to mention. Those florist foam blocks work great for router bits. You can just push the bits down into it. Get the dry type.
I have been trying to clear out clutter and get my shop close to the 5S model. I have been building drawers and trying to get everything in a place where my memory will function when I need...
About 20 years ago I was filling in for a friend whose job was a little boring. I cut the maple and brought it to work where I hand cut the dovetails. We still use it.
I have an older Woodtek Jointer. It seems to be a Delta clone. I don’t know about the cabinet saw but Woodworkers Supply may have information. Even though they don’t list machinery anymore.
I changed my planer and jointer to Dispoz-a-blade and haven’t been unhappy. Changing knives thales about 10 minutes and they hold up well. After the initial set up cost the blades are inexpensive.
I have used Minwax finishing wax for years. It is easy to apply and works great.
Just run the hardwood face through your jointer. Check it again after a couple of days.
A utility knife will cut the sidewalls. They don’t have belts. I refer you to the others for that. A lot of radial tires now have nylon belts .
I recently converted my Supermax. I used some 2.5 velcro on a roll from Amazon. You have to figure out the length.. I ordered the Mirka Heavy Duty from Mirka. It works great and the drum only has to...
I hope you heal quickly and it makes you even more careful. Recently I had an incident that although I was not hurt it scared me bad. I was sanding a large box on the stationary belt sander. I was...
