Printing on Wood and Acrylic

Hey folks!

I'm wanting to get into printing on wood and acrylic, Specifically MDF 1/8 thick 12 * 24, with the same dimensions for the acrylic. I'm assuming that UV printing would be the way to go here (if not please let me know), but when I started looking at UV printers the choices and options are a bit overwhelming. Given what I want to do I'm hoping that you guys (and gals) can point me in the right direction for type of machine and options that I would need.
