Subscriptions notifications

pls help...
under subscriptions, I check the notifications boxes
leave, come back, they are all unchecked, and I get no notifications?
this has been an on and off problem ever since I joined the Creek long ago... how to make notifications stick? Such a great feature

When you go to "Quick Links > Subscribed Threads" and click any check boxes there,
you'll need to click the "Selected Threads" button as shown below to commit your selections.
