Nate, thats nice...........now get back to work
...David the task master!
Nate, its nice to daydream, my job is so boring that all my brain cells are dead...so now I just sit and slober
Dave, at 1630 hrs I'll take off the green eye shade...I'll be in my shop makin' shavins by 1800 hrs...
Ohh yea. When I saw the subject, I bet to myself that it would be gaff rigged and guess what.
There's something about a gaff rigged boat.
Mac, it's Sam Devlin's "Seaswift"...John, "Seaswift" is drawn as a spritsail cat-ketch rig...in the photo the rig is loose-footed gaff with snotter (x2), good call...

...crew is enjoying a beautiful day on Eld Inlet, WA
John, Sam Devlin's "Winter Wren" is another gaff rig...this is the boat I'm standing on in my avatar photo...

Nate,
Thanks for the info. Very nice picture, inspiring to say the least.
Mac
Mac, you're very welcome...like all of Sam's small boat designs "Seaswift" has "workman-like" features, simple elegance, sail-ability, predictable performance, and it is build-able by anyone. I wish a customer would commission this design; I'd love to build one...or encourage someone to build one.
