Hubba hubba! Keep the pictures coming.
Greg
im very jealous of the floor size, the floor heat, under floor electrical and DC and the
smoothness of the concrete, great step for epoxy flooring. congrats
This thread reminds me of all the work I have ahead of me... Hope to break ground in a couple of months.
Looking great by the way!
The walls are started! My two brothers and my nephew are helping me with the framing.

We are starting to install the trusts. We got the walls built and 5 of the 20 trusts installed on the first day. We have this boom that we can put on our forklift tine bucket on the skid steer or JD 3020. For my shop the trusts are small enough and space around the new shop tight so we used the skid steer.

On the 22nd of Aug we got all the trusts installed by 11 am. In the afternoon we got the facia boards installed and the roof decking on. In the evening we got the roof covered with tar paper. Now on to the shingles.

Nice work.... I have gotta say... I am jelous... since I am working out of a single car garage...
What a great start to finish (ok, not quite finished, but you're getting there!) documentation you've got there. Wish I had done it for my building. Of course, I had the structure of mine built by others, so it didn't "mean" as much to me as this probably does to you.
I did finish out the inside myself (with my brother's and some others' help), but I didn't think enough to document it. Heck, I wasn't on the Creek yet and didn't have anyone to share it with. :D
Looks like even though you don't have building restrictions, you're certainly doing a really nice job. Keep the pics coming!
Oh, and what size is the blade on that monster?
Our sawmill runs a 54" insert tooth saw, spinning about 600 RPM. It slices through a 12 in diameter 8 foot log in about 3 seconds. Talk about sawdust!
Shingling on the shop and garage has begun. For the bottom courses I am standing in the bucket of the skid steer. We got all the bottom courses on all three roof sections completed. Now I can work on the field of the roof from on the roof.

We wrapped the styrofoam in a foundation liner to protect it from the sun. The new shop is wrapped in Typar. We installed the windows Sunday evening.

I am expanding the opening for a new garage door for the truck. I had 9x7 doors, and the truck barely fit, so I am installing a 10x7.5.

That looks like a blast. Enjoy the process and don't let it tire you out!
How fun to watch the progress of your shop. Looks like you are doing a great job.
I took Thursday and Friday before Labor Day weekend off from work and my Mom and I finished the roof. On Saturday, my brother and niece came and we started siding. Finished on Labor day.

Exterior Done! The siding on the garage was the masonite product and in bad shape. Roof was in bad shape as well. In addition I wanted the shop and garage to flow seamlessly together.

Now I can work at my leisure to finish the interior. Meaning, I would love to have it done by the 1st of the year. I have firewood to cut and rocks to pick on the farm. Lots to do before winter.
Nice job!! Outside really looks nice. Congrats!!! Jim.
