What is the smallest dovetails I can cut on a Leigh jig? Is it limited to the smallest bushing I can us to fit through the Leigh jig fingers?
If I recall, the smallest cutter in the Leigh set is pretty darn small...unfortunately, I don't remember the specifications and I sold the jig awhile ago. It was well under a quarter inch. Of course, the material thickness becomes limited there, too.
I have done 1/8" with mine. It is all about the bit. Think mine was a whiteside.
There a range of sizes for each of a variety of stock thicknesses. Suggest you call Leigh for the answer to your specific situation, Great folks.
I actually seem to recall that there is a chart in the Leigh jig manual that provides the parameters for what's possible with a given tool and material thickness.
