Dimensional stability of white line by growth rate and source location

I have family in KY and WI and have found sources of white pine in both $.60/bdft .If I'm patient i can get boards 14" + wide .Because of the longer growing season the boards from KY have about 4-6 growth rings per inch. The boards from WI about twice that.
Is one board going to be more stable than the other board? My uncle who has made a living as a cabinet maker and carpenter said it doesn't matter with white pine. I'll be making craft stuff crates, boxes,and chests

There are a number of white pines and the quality varys. The Northeastern white pine (Pinus strobus) is ,I think, the best.
The worst one I've used was identified only as "Idaho white pine". It had a texture that when worked did not leave the smooth surface of NWP.
