Larry,
My Dad was Henry James Tobias. I am a Jr. It seems that "James" is a popular combo with Tobias. My parents lived in South Carolina. My wife and our family moved to North Carolina 22 years ago. My dad was an only child so I have never been able to find any relatives on his side of the family.
Regardless, we already have woodworking in common!

I was amused to find a post by a fellow Tobias, particularly since my Dad is Jim (James L) Tobias, too!

Any idea where your clan hails from? My line is from Berks Co, PA by way of Greene Co, OH. Who knows, we could be distant relatives!
