About Tom Sherman
Happily married to the LOML for the past 20 years. All children grown and having their own it is great to be a grandpa.
Roanoke Virginia
I enjoy almost anything I can do by hand. I have recently developed an interest in woodturning, I also dabble in welding hopefully to make something that combines wood and metal.
I spent almost eight years in the USMC as a teletype communicator, driven trucks of all sorts, been a bartender, machinist helper, and an equipment operator for the city of Roanoke. I am now semi retired due to knee issues.

Turning comes easy to some folks .... wish I was one of them

Since then I have continued to work on my knee and have now achieved a functional knee that has my doctor scratching his head. I have been released to go back to full duty with no restrictions.

Part blessing and part curse

As of today I am retired, not by design the doctor laid some permanent restrictions on me that made it impossible to perform my job. Since there were no other positions available, I had no choice. Since my 'retirement' check is soo small I will have to try to find something that fits with my restrictions that will provide my income. Life goes on.
