Hey Reed, my email is eric_smi@msn.com. Or you can text me 828-500-1181. I have super old smoothing kanna with a 1/4 length blade and a small kanna of the cheaper variety. It needs a paper shim on the bed but will work. I think they will work for what you are doing. Shoot me you address an I will get them sent out.

How is the knee? Would like to have you back to our club soon. We have a new VP of Programs (Brad Stave). Give me a call next time you head north. My cell is 360-813-4484.

Do you happen to have Wally Dickerman's phone number? I hear he moved to Portland.

Reed, I hear you're headed to the Bremerton area in a month or two to make a presentation to the Olympic Peninsula Woodturners. Looking forward to it! Call me ahead of time, 360-813-4484 and perhaps I can give your event a little extra promotion.

Reed - I've got some 16" diameter madrone bowls that I hoped to make salad bowls from. I rough turned (10%+) and then soaked in DNA for 3 days, and wrapped them per the newspaper and plastic wrap I've seen you talk about. Then I started reading closer, and I think that I should have boiled instead of DNA. Is this correct?

Thanks for the help, Mike Ash

Hey I was at Whole Earth for a bit this weekend and I was trying to remember who it was I was supposed to look for. But my memory was "off" and I couldn't remember. So I just wandered around looking for a turner but all I found was a guy who makes drums and I knew it wasn't him. Sorry I missed you...
    Ciao
