About Ken Prater

Biography:

Retired 11 yrs from American Electric Power. Born and lived in Easern Ky (Garrett, Floyd County) for my ffirst 12 yrs then southern Ohio (McArthur) until age 20. Spent two yrs in the Army. Started my job with AEP in Columbus, Ohio upon return from the Military; married my girl who had waited for me and started a Family. Our first daughter was born in Columbus in 1963; Moved to Canton, Ohio in 1964 and our second (and last) was born there in 1966. Lived in North Canton, Ohio for 20 yrs then AEP moved us back to Columbus where I finished my Stint with them in 1999. Both daughtes were married with families by this time and one of them lived in North Canton with 3 of our grandkids and the other was living in Okemos, MI and they had one. It was an easy decision where to locate after retiremant. We moved to Bolivar, Ohio (about 25 miles south of North Canton).

Interests:

I have a variety of interrests: started with hunting and fishing added flying at age 30 then motorcycles at age 55. I/ve dabbled with furniture building over the years and would like to get more serious about it.
