Need your opinion. Do you think it would be possible to use something like this to turn rattle ends. I was thinking if I took two blanks, drilled holes at each end on face side of wood with a forstner bit to form cavities, filled them with beans/peas, glued back together and then used this set-up to turn the circular ends?

PS: I did turn a rattle, brought it to work and my partenr with the grandson born to the two lawyers, snatched it up. My intention was really to get peoples ideas on modifications. I didn't have the heart to tell him that was not the one I intended to give away!
