About David Hostetler
- Biography:
- While woodworking is a great hobby it isn't my primary interest. I am an outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, canoeing, just about anything you can do far away from civilization. I enjoy trees, and be they standing, or fallen and pieces of them in my shop, they all, okay most, have some beauty to them. (Some are just ugly). I started woodworking when I was in the cub scouts as a boy, and my Dad gave me a pocket knife that I used to whittle out various shapes from sticks and twigs I found in the yard. I took shop class in both Junior High, and High School, and then took a nearly 20 year break from woodworking due to lack of a shop or tools. In Jan 2008 I started in earnest building up a shop, and relearning the skills I had once mastered.
