Geo. D. Wilson, As I have known you for more than half my life, I request your friendship. Len Woodruff, my dad held you in high regard for your artistry, your intellect, and he called you friend because of your passion for what you did and your friendship to him. As with me there are few that he called friend.

Hello George. I was watching an episode of the Woodwright's Shop and saw a tool you had built to draw an ellipse. This tool was shaped like a cross and appeared to work extremly well. I would like to build one of these tools; is there a forum entry detailing the building of this tool that I am unable to find? Have you or are you willing to share this information? Also, as this is the first time I have contacted you, I would like to take the opportunity to tell you that I have been following your posts for some time and view you as an important resource. I'll bet there are a lot of people like myself that search for your entries that you have no knowledge of.
  7. Thanks, George. I'm honored to be your friend. I've been an admirer of your work and skills for a long time. I hope to get to meet you in person some day and talk - maybe share a libation. Thanks again.

Hey George thanks for getting back to me - I love this guitar and yes we did get it at Gruen's. It was collecting dust in the back corner and the minute I played it I loved it..it's a beautiful thing. I'm glad it found its way into my hands. I hope to play it for a long time. I'm a fingerstyle guitar player and love the neck. I'm glad I found you - it's a real treat to meet the guy who made my fave guitar. I also own a Franklin out of Sandpoint Idaho and a custom Martin parlour which I use for blues. I will change the strings to 12's so I can get the bottom end sound I like.
  9. Hi,Jane.I never made models. Every guitar was unique except for using the same molds.Don't worry about the neck. The guitar's top is lightly built. You can use .012 80 20 strings on it. I have been building since 1954. I made two of those guitars that were cutaway. One for Bran, and one for a professional guitarist in Washington.I had seen Bran's guitar for sale on ebay. I don't think he sold it. Did you get it at Gruen's in Nashville? I like to make guitars that sound good with light gauge strings because they are easier to play finger style, and not just play chords on.
