Hi Joe. Im looking for some guidance with regards to improving productivity at my family owned and operated sash and door shop in Ontario. Is it ok if I send you a little background of how we run and ask a few questions?
  3. Hi John,
I have bare bones with the 2 speed. It has been fine for us and the low speed seems to eliminate tear out on everything we run. We don’t do a lot of figured wood though. Sometimes we run a little odd stuff for a local furniture maker and works fine for that. The T 90 has variable speed. I don’t think we have ever needed to run slower than what the slowest speed on the planer.
do you know Kent Adkins? I think his planer is same as mine and he does a lot of figured wood.
Most every option they offer is usually nice and always seems worth while but sure drives the cost up.
Yes the snow situation is bad. Only good thing is I am too busy to take much time off to play.

    Hello Joe.
    Quick Question?
About to order a T45. I am going fairly bare bones, if you can call a Martin bare bones.
Getting 7.5 hp, tersa, waxilit, central lube. Do you think i need the Variable feed speed for an extra 2k? I do do a lot of highly figured wood.
    Is your’s variable speed?
    Thanks

    Hello Joe
I know you have been to the Martin factory and was wondering if you have any recommendations for my visit there next month. My wife and I are flying into Munich and planning on renting a car to drive to Ottobeuren. After that, we will drive to Austria and possibly ski??
    Thanks for any suggestions.
    John

Hi Joe, my name is Geoffrey Keating. I run a handmade furniture business now located in Colorado Springs and the guys at Martin gave me your phone number but it doesn't seem to be good anymore. I bought a slider and planer from them and am now looking at shapers (theirs and cheaper options) and was wondering if you had a few minutes at some point to visit, and I could run a few shaper related questions by you. My email is geoffreyckeating@gmail.com and my phone is (574)904-9392. Any time you might have would be much appreciated as I'm sure you're busy. Thank you!
